Junaid Khan
Junaid Khan (born 2 June 1993) is an Indian actor known for his work in Hindi films and stage productions. He made his film debut with the period drama Maharaj (2024), portraying journalist Karsandas Mulji.
Early Life
Khan was born in Mumbai to actor Aamir Khan and his first wife, Reena Dutta. He has a sister, Ira Khan, and a half-brother, Azad, from his father's second marriage to Kiran Rao. He completed his graduation from H.R. College of Commerce and Economics and pursued an acting course at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Career
Khan began his career on stage, appearing in plays such as Mother Courage and Her Children (2020), Medea (2022), Strictly Unconventional (2022), and Shikhandi (2024).
He made his film debut with Maharaj, a historical drama film produced by YRF Entertainment, where he played the role of journalist Karsandas Mulji. The film also starred Jaideep Ahlawat and Shalini Pandey. Critics had mixed opinions about Khan's performance; Nandini Ramnath of Scroll.in noted that Khan struggled to fit into the role, while Shilajit Mitra of The Hindu described him as sincere but not yet a captivating leading man.
