Ramsey Tokunbo Nouah Jr. (born 19 December 1970), known simply as Ramsey Nouah, is a Nigerian actor and film director.
Early Life
Ramsey Tokunbo Nouah Jr. was born to an Israeli Jewish father and a Yoruba mother who hails from Owo, Ondo State. He grew up in Aguda, Surulere, Lagos.
For his primary education, he attended Atara Primary School, Orile Ignamu, Lagos, and for his secondary education attended Community Grammar School, Surulere. He got a diploma in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos, after which he pursued a career in acting.
Career
Ramsey Nouah first began acting in 1990 to raise money for his GCE exams. In 1991, he starred in the soap opera, Mega Fortunes, which aired in 1993.
In 2015, he secured the rights to Living in Bondage: Breaking Free from Kenneth Nnebue. The film remained in development hell for three years before being released as a sequel to the original on 8 November 2019. He starred and directed in the film marking his directorial debut. In 2020, Living in Bondage: Breaking Free won seven awards at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
