Shalini Pandey

Shalini Pandey (born 23 September 1993) is an Indian actress known for her work in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi films. She made her acting debut in the Telugu film Arjun Reddy (2017) and has appeared in films such as 100% Kadhal (2019), Mahanati (2018), 118 (2019), Jayeshbhai Jordaar (2022), and Maharaj (2024).

Early Life

Shalini Pandey was born in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Before entering the film industry, she worked as a theatre artist in her hometown.

Career

Shalini Pandey made her screen debut with the Telugu film Arjun Reddy in 2017, playing a medical student opposite Vijay Deverakonda. The film was a commercial success and earned her a SIIMA Award nomination for Best Female Debut – Telugu.

In 2018, she made a cameo appearance in the Hindi film Meri Nimmo and played Savitri's friend in the Telugu film Mahanati, which was a significant box-office success.

In 2019, Pandey had five film releases. She portrayed Sowcar Janaki in the Telugu film NTR: Kathanayakudu and played the lead role in the Telugu film 118 opposite Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. She made her Tamil film debut with 100% Kadhal and later appeared in Gorilla opposite Jiiva. She also played a college student in the Telugu film Iddari Lokam Okate.

Pandey's full-fledged Hindi film debut came in 2020 with Bamfaad, where she played a Hindu girl in love with a Muslim boy. She was also featured as a possessive character in the Telugu-Tamil bilingual Nishabdham.

In 2022, she starred as a Gujarati housewife and mother in the Hindi film Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Following a two-year hiatus, she played the lead role opposite Junaid Khan in the Hindi film Maharaj.

Personal Life

Shalini Pandey was featured in The Indian Express and 123telugu's "Top Actresses" list of 2017 and ranked 19th in the Hyderabad Times Most Desirable Women list the same year.
