Sharvari
Sharvari Wagh (born 14 June 1997), known mononymously as Sharvari, is an Indian actress who works in Hindi films.
Early Life
Sharvari Wagh was born in a Marathi family. Her parents are Shailesh Wagh, a builder, and Namrata Wagh, an architect. She completed her schooling at The Dadar Parsee Youths Assembly High School and Ruparel College in Mumbai. Her maternal grandfather is Manohar Joshi, former Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
Career
Sharvari Wagh began her career as an assistant director in 2015, working on films such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Bajirao Mastani, and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. She made her acting debut with the Amazon Prime series The Forgotten Army - Azaadi Ke Liye in 2020, where she starred opposite Sunny Kaushal.
In 2021, Sharvari made her film debut with Bunty Aur Babli 2, produced by Yash Raj Films. Her performance earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut and the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year – Female. Despite the accolades, the film did not perform well at the box office.
In 2024, she starred in the comedy horror film Munjya, which was inspired by a Maharashtrian folktale and was part of the Maddock Supernatural Universe. The film was a commercial success and marked her breakout role. She also had a brief role in Maharaj, a period drama released on Netflix.
