US rapper Kendrick Lamar has released a surprise new album called GNX.
The 12-track album features multiple appearances from SZA and Kamasi Washington and a producer credit for Jack Antonoff on all but one song. No tracks from his feud with Drake are included.
Additional guests on GNX include Dody6 (on “Hey Now”), AzChike (on “Peekaboo”), Sie7e and Wallie the Sensei (on “Dodger Blue”), and Hitta J3, Peysoh, and Young Threat (on “GNX”).
GNX comes just days after he was named rapper of the year by Apple Music who stated that the success he recorded and his impact on hip hop in 2024 is unrivalled.
Kendrick Lamar's surprise album is titled after the Buick Regal model. It is his sixth studio album and first since officially leaving longtime labels Top Dawg Entertainment and Aftermath Entertainment.
