Beats by Jayy
Victor Jimar Chujor-Idowu (11 October 1993 - 20 November 2021), known professionally as Beats by Jayy or Big Daddy Jayy, was a Nigerian music producer and rapper.
Early Life
Beats by Jayy was born in Rivers State and raised in Surulere, Lagos. He is the last of three boys. For his secondary education, he attended King's College, Lagos. He obtained a degree in Business Administration from Babcock University.
Career
While in high school, Beats by Jayy met rapper A-Q. He would later go on to produce several records for A-Q. As a producer, his production credits include Judah EP for M.I Abaga, Okwaraji for Blaqbonez, Survivors Remorse for Loose Kanyon, and several others.
As a rapper, in August 2017, Big Daddy Jayy released his first extended play Replay EP. He also released Jayynius in April 2020.
Personal Life
In 2021, Beats by Jayy's family shared a statement announcing that he had died following complications from COVID-19 on 20 November 2021.
