Julius Agwu
Julius Agwu (born 7 April 1973), is a Nigerian stand-up comedian, actor and entrepreneur. He is the CEO of Reallaif Limited, an entertainment company.
Early Life
Julius Agwu was born and raised in Port Harcourt, the fifth child in a family of six children. He hails from Choba in Obio /Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
He graduated from the University of Port Harcourt in 1997 with a degree in Theatre Arts.
Career
In 1985, Julius Agwu joined an acting traveling troupe owned by Innocent Ohiri.
His first major act as a comedian was in 1996 at the first edition of ‘Night Of A Thousand Laughs’ which held in the University of Lagos.
In 2001, he started a stand-up comedy show, Crack Ya Ribs in Lagos. The show was first held in London in 2005.
He was the host of the Nigerian Entertainment Awards in 2011.
Personal Life
Julius Agwu married Ibiere Maclayton in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on 31 May 2008. Together they have two children, Zahra & Zadok.
In 2015, Julius Agwu underwent brain surgery. He had a relapse in 2016 while in London for his show.
