Joeboy

Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus (born 21 May 1997), known professionally as Joeboy, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter.

Early Life

Joeboy was born in Surulere, a residential area in Lagos State but grew up in Akoka, a suburb of Yaba in Lagos State, Nigeria. He is originally from Ogun State. He is the last child and has two brothers and a sister.

Joeboy has a degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Lagos in Akoka, Lagos State.

Career

Joeboy released his single "Baby" on 1 March 2019. Following its commercial success, he released the single "Beginning", produced by Killertunes, on 15 August 2019.

In November 2019, he released his debut extended play, "Love & Light". Joeboy won Best Artiste in African Pop at 2019 All Africa Music Awards and Best Pop at the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival.
