Emmanuel Ajomale (born 25 January 1994), known professionally as Mannywellz, is a Nigerian-born, Maryland-based singer.
Early Life
Mannywellz was born and raised in Lagos before moving to Maryland with his family in 2003 at nine. He is the son of Kunle Ajomale, a Nigerian gospel singer and pastor, and his father is from Ijebu Ode.
Career
Mannywellz released his debut EP, SoulFro, in January 2018. His second EP, the 7-track Mirage, was released on 9 October 2020. It features Tems, Wale and VanJess. In 2018, he contributed to the album, American Dreamers: Voices of Hope, Music of Freedom, by John Daversa Big Band. It won a Grammy Award for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.
Personal Life
Mannywellz is the cousin of Nigerian rapper Zamir.
