Oxlade
Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman (born 22 April 1997), known professionally as Oxlade, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter.
Early Life
Abdulrahman was born and raised in Surulere, Lagos. He studied History and International Relations at Lagos State University for two years before dropping off to focus on his music career.
Career
In 2018, Oxlade signed a management deal with The Plug Entertainment, an entertainment company founded by Bizzle Osikoya and Asa Asika Asika. He later signed a record deal with Troniq Music.
He was nominated for Rookie of the year at the 13th edition of The Headies alongside Buju, Crayon and Barry Jhay who won.
His released an EP, Oxygene, through Troniq Music, and The Plug Entertainment, on 27 March 2020. The lead single "Away" peaked at number twenty three on the Nigeria's TurnTable Top 50 Yearly chart.
Personal Life
On 12 October 2020, Oxlade sustained an injury during the EndSARS protest in Surulere.
